I can run, but I cannot hide...apparently.

We have only lived here for just under one year and since that time, I've had several callings in this ward.  Four, to be exact.  First, I was the Bear Cub Scout Den leader, then I was the Second Sunday Relief Society teacher, next I was the First Counselor in the Relief Society and now...I just got put back into Young Women's as the Second Counselor

I ask a friend if I am the lame duck of the group and she assured me that I wasn't but...
The only other thing that I can come up with is that they just don't know what to do with me.  I try not to be trouble.  Maybe it's my red hair!  It always gets me in trouble.  People assume this or that about redheads and granted, some of it is true but usually it's not.

After serving the youth for about 8 years, I wondered if I really had anything left to give in the Young Women's program but apparently someone thinks I do, so I will do my best.

I'm not unhappy about this new twist, just wondering out loud.  I will really miss working with some fantastic women that I've had the pleasure to get to know but I get to work with other fantastic women in exchange.  When one door closes, another opens.

I better start taking my vitamins.  I'm gonna need my energy!  I love the youth!  They are our future.

Here is our Theme for this year:
We Believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous and in doing good to all men.  Indeed we may say that we  follow the admonition of Paul.  We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things and hope to endure all things.  If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
