I'm a sucker for teenagers and fundraising but don't tell anyone. I just can't seem to say "No" to them. Even when I really have no need for whatever
super duper card that is suppose to "save" me tons of $$$, or
cheesecake that goes straight to my butt, or
pizza that is inferior to what I can make.
I think it's because they catch me off guard, when I least expect it, they show up on my doorstep, looking so pathetic that I can't say "No". The only time I can remember saying "No, thank you" was for a magazine subscription. I just can't take anymore papers and junk around here. So in that case my
O.C.D. beat out my guilt.
Finally, a fundraiser came along that I could really sink my teeth into! Literally! A couple of cross country runners from the high school asked (separately) if I would like to buy peaches. Yummy Utah peaches! Twenty pounds of peaches for $15.00! So I ended up with Forty pounds of peaches. Peach Heaven. Peach coma. Peach dreams.
I knew that I couldn't possible use that much peach freezer jam, not to mention I don't have that much freezer space, so I entered uncharted territory and actually bottled some (just like grandma) , made cooked jam and freezer jam with them. And to my surprise, they ALL turned out, well ( I can't resist)...
just Peachy. Yeah for me!
Here are some pictures of my 12 hour day of peachy-ness:

It was an exhausting day but it was great "therapy", lots of time to think, listen, ponder, and sing.
