Okay, so being ALL alone isn't all it's cracked up to be. I was okay for the first 2 days and then, I got really bored. It got so bad that I mowed the lawn!! There was no one to yell at, pick on, or get in fights with. Oh wait, my mistake... I didn't hear anyone yelling or fighting or complaining. The flip side of that is that I didn't hear any laughing, joking, singing, or squealing. The doors hardly ever opened or shut. There weren't any late night movies being played and I never heard the words, "Mom, can I have..." This was the longest alone time I've ever had and I think it was one or two days too long.
For the first time in 8 years, I didn't attend girls camp. It was a little weird sending my girls off and me not going with them. Sarah and Amanda never knew a girls camp without me being there. Don't get me wrong, I am totally okay with not going but it was a little strange. My girls had so much fun with their leaders that I know it was suppose to be this way, this year. Perhaps, in the next few years, I'll make it back.
My boys came home a little early (thank goodness) because they had had enough fun in the sun. They had a blast exploring an old ghost town, rafting in Bear Lake, and getting sand blasted by a micro burst. They fished (Jeffrey caught a tree) they skipped a football across Bear Lake for hours, and just goofed around and basically did that male bonding thing.
They came home a little bit redder, but with some great memories.
