Okay, so I've got the proverbial "bee in my bonnet". It happens! Once I get the urge to
paint or
fix or just
fidget with something, I can't seem to let it go. This might require therapy of some sort, but like my mom, I just paint instead. It's much cheaper than therapy...perhaps. Paint is very forgiving and easy to change if it goes wrong.
The first bathroom turned out so good that I couldn't resist doing our master bathroom too. I mean, I couldn't just let that half gallon of paint go to waste, right?
I've grown tired of boring beige and brown shades and I've grown out of loving the look of one red "accent wall". Don't be offended if your homes have these colors, I just want a splash of something else in my home. I've learned over the years that color plays a big part in my mood. Especially in a place where there is a long, cold winter. Personally, I couldn't live in a darkly painted home. I need light.
I've always been drawn to blues and greens but lately, thanks to Candace Olsen (that she-devil on HGTV) I've fallen in love with the crisp, clean look of light blues, greens, grays with white trim and accents, with a little black or silver touches. I LOVE IT! If I could pare those colors with a dark wood floor, I'd be in heaven. In fact, I've been looking at our wood floors and I'd really like to sand them and stain them darker...but, my back won't let me, yet. So here are the pictures of our bathroom.

I taped this mirror too in case it shattered...it didn't! |

You can see where I started painting on the wall behind the toilet. It's very light |
